Rentable shopping trolley device aims to make shopping in Rye Lane without vehicular access easier, with lockable drop off points for the trolleys. A retrofit and first floor extension is proposed for the Holdron’s Arcade, Peckham. Its prime location on Rye Lane would encourage more shopping activity back to the area. This will work well with the shopping aid device initially proposed for Rye Lane. A retrofit and extension of the existing building would, if managed properly, have less of an impact on the environment by using existing materials to their full worth and enhancing the local area.

Pedestrianising Rye Lane is a problem for shoppers. The trolley device and building renovation projects aim to address this issue.
