TREETOP TO THE STARS

The intention of "Treetop to the Stars” is to amend Severndroog Castle’s problematic affiliation with the East Indian Company. Wishing to transform the building’s identity from a monument that celebrates colonialism into one that looks forward and honours the future through research and exploration of the night sky, the site sets the location for an astronomy observatory built at London’s highest elevation. A forest walkway extends from the court, allowing visitors to walk among the treetops of the surrounding woodland and enjoy the spectacular scenery of London and the Greater London area.
