CONTEMPORARY DANCE THEATRE & STUDIO

This project is focused on providing a contemporary and lyrical dance performance space for multi-generational recreational dancers and professional performers. The building provides a shared stage for the two groups of dancers to work together, acting as a communal space, while having their own separate ground floor rehearsal rooms to work on individual productions. The building features rammed earth walls with mesh flutes. The rammed earth provides a textured and warmth surface within whilst the mesh flutes create a play of shadows throughout the building internally and externally.
