DEAFINITELY THEATRE

My project works with 'Deafinitely Theatre', a deaf leading theatre company, as a result I ensured that my project created a space for them to fulfil their passion to the greatest capacity considering every detail aligned with deaf architecture. Deaf architecture focuses on accommodating to the experience of the deaf and hard-of-hearing community. I emphasised on open spaces that concentrated on the visual experience, especially when sign language is a visual form of communication. My design is inspired by theatre coliseums and amphitheatres from the Roman and Greek theatres allowing equal and clear visuals of both the teachers in the classrooms or the performers in theatre space, as well as bringing in that theatre essence.
