VIVASAYI - VEGETATION MARKET CENTRE

‘Vivasayi’ in Tamil means Farmers. The project is an homage to the farmers, their role and contribution to communities in London and beyond. It proposes a hybrid programme, including educational activities for the next generation regarding the act and importance of growing, a growing centre, and an Indian Street Food Market, using organic vegetables grown on site. The interior space showcases stories of the farmers’ life in the form of mural art, to celebrate their commitment, hard work and day-to-day life activities.
