THE CONSERVATION AND AVIARY CENTRE OF HACKNEY WICK

by Ching Ang

The Conservation and Aviary Centre of Hackney Wick will allow humans and birds to harmoniously co-exist together. It will educate the visitors about the importance of biodiversity with the display of different species of birds, as they can be observed by entering the inside of the aviary. The centre will house the endangered birds in the UK, allowing researchers to find out the problems of the decrease in species. Visitors can experience the full life cycle of the bird starting from the hatchery, to the release of the birds. It will also act as a green corridor, attracting other wild birds, as their habitats are being destroyed by industrialisation and new buildings.
